The 4th edition of the Cumplicidades - Lisbon International Contemporary Dance Festival will take place from May 8 to 21 in various locations throughout the city.
This festival challenges artists, organizations, and the public to map Lisbon through contemporary dance.
This year, the program will feature Luiz Antunes as the curator of national projects, who has established the theme "Face to Face, We Are All Sapiens".
The international aspect of the Cumplicidades 2023 festival will feature artists from different nationalities currently residing in Portuguese territory.
This edition will present 10 productions, most of which will premiere in Lisbon, for a total of 24 sessions taking place between May 11 and 21.

The festival will be held in various locations, including the Quartel do Largo do Cabeço de Bola, São Luiz Municipal Theater, and the Belém Cultural Center. In addition to performances, the festival will host three conversations closely linked to the scheduled shows.
There will also be an educational project called Dance Passport, which will offer free dance classes for all age groups. This year, the Dance Passport will extend to Amadora, Oeiras, Sintra, Mafra, Odivelas, Cascais, and Setúbal.
The Cumplicidades Festival was conceived and is realized by Eira, an artistic structure based in Lisbon that has been dedicated to the development and promotion of national and international contemporary dance since 1993.
